Undergraduate Students

Undergraduate students who want to become science teachers at Syracuse University are dually enrolled in The College of Arts and Sciences and the School of Education. All students receive either a B.A. or B.S. in one of four science disciplines (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Earth Science) while also taking education coursework through the School of Education. Students enrolled in SUNY-ESF may also work toward teacher certification through The College of Arts and Science's Department of Science Teaching.


Program Options:

4-year degree leading to New York State teacher certification

5-year BA/MS leading to masters degree and New York State teacher certification

Master's degree program after completion of 4-year BA/BS program

Joint program between Syracuse University and SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry
